Job Description
White Horse Employment are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager to oversee our client's IT operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing server and network infrastructure, ensuring information and network security, and leading a team of IT professionals. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent analytical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of systems engineering and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the IT department, including IT staff and external vendors.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Oversee IT infrastructure (networks, servers, cloud services, etc.) to ensure performance, availability, and security.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve business operations.
- Manage IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and system implementations.
- Monitor and maintain cybersecurity protocols to protect company data and systems.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Maintain budgets, timelines, and service levels.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Experience
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Relevant industry certifications strongly , such as: ITIL Foundation / Intermediate / Expert, Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Solutions Architect. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher
- Proficiency in Active Directory administration and Microsoft SQL Server management.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking principles and practices along with experience in network support roles.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with prior supervising experience in an IT environment.
- Excellent time management, organisational skills, and communication abilities to effectively liaise with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Azure is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint for documentation and reporting purposes.
