Information Technology Infrastructure Engineer
Job Description
IT Infrastructure Engineer | Perm | £55-60k | Hybrid | Watford | performace related bonus
Our cleints are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their IT department. You will be part of the infrastructure team, reporting to the IT Governance and Security manager, and supporting systems across their sites and head office.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide third-line IT support, with second-line cover when needed
- Support and administer Windows and Linux servers, including Puppet
- Manage Azure, Office 365, Entra, Intune, AWS and Exchange environments
- Monitor and respond to alerts using WhatsUp Gold
- Configure and support Hyper-V hosts and guests
- Maintain backups and business continuity using NetBackup and Avepoint
- Support Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy and Microsoft Systems Centre
- Build and maintain HP server and workstation hardware
- Manage SAN and Fabric Switches
- Work with project and architecture teams on system implementations
Skills and experience required:
- Strong background in IT infrastructure support
- Experience with server builds, upgrades and troubleshooting across Windows and Linux
- Azure, Microsoft O365, Entra, InTune and AWs cloud system build and managent
- Microsoft Hyper-V configuration, management, upgrades, and template-based deployment of hosts and guests
- Knowledge of PKI, Microsoft clustering, and Cisco networking
