Job Functions of Sewing Machine Operator:
- Work specific zone which flexes due to variation in cycle.
- Within designated zone, produce specified product to required specifications using proper methods; i.e., gauging or other tools.
- Maintain equipment as required.
- Operate equipment safely and utilize methods to ensure safe operation.
- Properly set equipment to specific requirements.
- Maintain any required documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Adhere to company quality standards and procedures.
- Adhere to all cluster requirements including proper utilization of goal boards. Use lights to alert support personnel of machine difficulties, supply needs, etc.
- Work in courteous cooperation with other cluster members.
- Employ the “bumping” technique as appropriate within the cluster.
- Address team issues in a timely and appropriate manner with team members/supervision.
- Contact supervisor as required to resolve cluster needs.
Hours and Pay:
- 1st shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2.00pm. $15.45/hour
- 2nd shift: Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-1:00am. $16.45/hour
Qualifications:
- Sewing test required
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year in manufacturing experience
- Must be able to stand for duration of day and walk frequently
