Industrial Service Technician - 1st Shift

AppleTree Staffing is partnering with one of our manufacturing clients, located on the southwest side of Indianapolis, to help them hire for an Industrial Service Technician position. This is a full-time position. Not a TEMP Job!

Key Responsibilities

• Always follow company safety standards and protocols.
• Maintain strong and reliable attendance.
• Read and interpret installation instructions, blueprints, and schematics.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, cutting torches, and related equipment.
• Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve repair or installation issues safely and efficiently.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Collaborate with teammates and plant leadership to achieve production goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in the heavy-duty truck/trailer industry .
• Automotive repair experience will be considered.
• Ability to maintain housekeeping and machine/tool upkeep to company standards.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with customers and prepare service orders when needed.
• Skilled in operating a variety of machinery and tools for repair and replacement of product components and kits.

Work Environment

• Exposure to vibration, moving mechanical parts, and working at heights may occur.
• Facility is not climate-controlled; conditions may be hot/humid at times.
• Noise levels are generally loud.

Physical Demands

• Regular use of hands for handling tools and parts; frequent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods (8–10 hours per day).
• Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Vision requirements include close, distance, , peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
