About the Role:
Step into the role of a dedicated Hourly Safety Operations Coordinator, engaging wholly with the local health and safety initiatives. In this position, you will be integral in preventing injuries, ensuring regulatory compliance, and improving employee participation at the worksite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work actively on projects to bolster injury prevention strategies and compliance protocols.
- Participate decisively in project teams and report outcomes to peers and site management.
- Act as a leading authority on Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) and lead training sessions.
- Conduct comprehensive safety training for colleagues, newcomers, and site visitors.
- Investigate On-The-Job Training challenges and facilitate improvements.
- Contribute to Tier I and II Sessions, manage updates, and oversee safety issue resolutions.
- Deliver training and data-driven insights for engagement and reporting mechanisms.
- Address Safety Alerts from other divisions to enhance workplace safety.
- Commit to daily protocols specific to the Site Safety Coordinator's role.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities linked to advancing safety and employee involvement.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in English and Spanish both orally and in writing.
- Devoted to advancing safety and compliance as part of a broader engagement strategy.
- Knowledgeable in essential safety programs including Lockout Tagout and PPE usage.
- Must demonstrate Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
- Must competently handle basic measurement tools.
- Adept at addressing large audiences and engaging with leadership.
- Deliver consistent performance with an emphasis on coaching peers.
- Experience from manufacturing or similar environments is highly beneficial.
Work Setting and Conditions:
- Primarily scheduled from Monday to Friday, with flexibility for operational demands.
- Alternate schedules will be communicated in advance.
- Engage in a balanced mix of office and floor operations within a manufacturing field.
- Be adaptable to variable environmental and physical requirements of the job.
Certifications Required:
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification must be held.
