Industrial Refrigeration Engineer (Ammonia)\n Location: Midlands\n Salary: Up to £65,000 pa depending on experience\n Contract: Permanent, Full-time\n \n We’re working with a long-established, privately-owned refrigeration contractor who’ve built a reputation in industrial ammonia and commercial plant refrigeration across the UK. Unlike the standard service firms, they specialise in large-scale NH3 systems, complex plant, and mission-critical environments. The kind of projects that demand real expertise, not just routine maintenance.\n \n They’re now looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer with strong ammonia handling knowledge to join their team.\n \n What you’ll be doing\nService, maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial refrigeration systems (NH3 and associated plant)\nFault-finding and maintaining both new and existing installations to industry best practice\nWorking both independently and as part of a close-knit team\nSupporting UK-wide clients with occasional travel and on-call duties\n What we need from you\nRefrigerant handling certification (C&G 2079 or equivalent)\nAmmonia safe handling training\nAt least 2 years’ hands-on experience in refrigeration engineering (industrial plant or large-scale commercial systems)\nStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skills\nFull UK driving licence and right to work in the UK\n Nice to have\nKnowledge of SCADA, RDM or electrical controls\nCommissioning and testing experience\nIPAF or CSCS card\n Pay and Hours\nMonday to Friday – 40 hour + 10 hours travelling\nUp to £65,000 pa depending on experience\n Why join?\n This isn’t just another service contract role, it’s a chance to work with serious industrial kit and be part of a business that invests in engineers for the long term.
