Mobile Industrial & Commercial Refrigeration Service Engineer Salary £50k - £52500K + Overtime Covering Southampton and surrounding areas 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and option to buy 5 days and sell 2 days Private medical scheme \n \n Are you an Industrial Refrigeration Engineer with experience with ammonia, looking to take the next step in your career with one of the leading companies in the built environment?\n \n We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial and Commercial Refrigeration Service Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team. This role involves working across a range of industrial environments, including food factories, regional distribution centres (RDCs), and warehouses, on a variety of refrigeration systems.\n \n Key Responsibilities:\n \nCarry out maintenance and service visits on a range of refrigeration equipment, including Reciprocating, Scroll, and Screw compressor packs. \nWork on installations using Ammonia, CO₂, and HFC/HFO systems.
\nProvide reactive breakdown cover during normal working hours and support an out-of-hours standby rota. \nCollaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure service excellence. \nMaintain high standards of quality, safety, and compliance in all engineering tasks.
\nOperate in line with industry best practices and all relevant legislation. \n Qualifications, Skills & Experience:\n \nProven experience in the industrial refrigeration sector with strong knowledge of customer expectations and industry standards. \nRecognised qualifications including F-Gas (Category 1 - 2079), ACRIB, and Ammonia Handling certification.
\nCompleted a recognised apprenticeship or training programme in Industrial Refrigeration. \nSolid experience with maintenance and servicing of medium to large-scale refrigeration systems. \nStrong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, particularly on compressors such as Grasso, Sabroe, J&E Hall, GEA, and Mycom.
