Job Title: Industrial Piping Estimator
Location: On-site in St. Louis, MO
Pay: $90K-$120K
Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a piping estimator, ideally heavy piping
Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Industrial Piping Estimator to join our growing team! This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about delivering accurate, competitive estimates for complex piping systems across industrial sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare detailed cost estimates for piping systems
- Perform quantity take-offs and labor calculations using industry-standard tools
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to refine scope and pricing
- Solicit and evaluate vendor quotes for materials and equipment
- Assist in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and proposal development
- Maintain historical cost data and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in piping or mechanical estimating, preferably in industrial settings
- Strong understanding of ASME codes, piping materials, and fabrication methods
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., FastPIPE, Bluebeam, Excel)
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and technical specs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
