Role snapshot
- Lead reliability, maintenance, and daily operations for site transformers and plant-wide MV distribution
- Coach and manage a team of Medium Voltage Technicians; set priorities and ensure safe execution
- Run a best-in-class transformer reliability program: inspections, oil testing, predictive diagnostics, and refurbishment planning
- Own critical spares strategy, inventory, and readiness
- Diagnose and resolve complex HV system issues, including protection schemes, relays, and breaker coordination
- Stand up and sustain preventive/predictive maintenance for HV/MV assets
- Partner with Engineering and Operations on upgrades and capital projects with reliability/maintainability in mind
- Ensure every task aligns with NFPA 70E, OSHA, and CMC safety standards
- Manage budgets, contractors, and project delivery for transformer upgrades, replacements, and expansions
- Inform long-term capital plans for site power infrastructure
- Perform other assigned responsibilities
You bring
- 5+ years working with medium- and high-voltage power systems in industrial or utility settings
- Expertise in transformer maintenance, protection, and distribution system reliability
- Experience with predictive tools: oil analysis, infrared, DGA, partial discharge
- Strong command of MV/HV safety practices and Arc Flash standards
- Proficiency with CMMS (SAP )
- Ability to build teams and supervise both technical and non-technical staff
Education
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (or closely related discipline) required
