Role snapshot

Lead reliability, maintenance, and daily operations for site transformers and plant-wide MV distribution
Coach and manage a team of Medium Voltage Technicians; set priorities and ensure safe execution
Run a best-in-class transformer reliability program: inspections, oil testing, predictive diagnostics, and refurbishment planning
Own critical spares strategy, inventory, and readiness
Diagnose and resolve complex HV system issues, including protection schemes, relays, and breaker coordination
Stand up and sustain preventive/predictive maintenance for HV/MV assets
Partner with Engineering and Operations on upgrades and capital projects with reliability/maintainability in mind
Ensure every task aligns with NFPA 70E, OSHA, and CMC safety standards
Manage budgets, contractors, and project delivery for transformer upgrades, replacements, and expansions
Inform long-term capital plans for site power infrastructure
Perform other assigned responsibilities

You bring

5+ years working with medium- and high-voltage power systems in industrial or utility settings
Expertise in transformer maintenance, protection, and distribution system reliability
Experience with predictive tools: oil analysis, infrared, DGA, partial discharge
Strong command of MV/HV safety practices and Arc Flash standards
Proficiency with CMMS (SAP )
Ability to build teams and supervise both technical and non-technical staff

Education

Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (or closely related discipline) required
