A Day in the Life
You arrive to a prioritized work list and coordinate with production on equipment availability. Early in the shift, you might diagnose a relay issue on a 480V circuit, replace a failed component, and verify operation. Next, you’ll pivot to HVAC—troubleshooting a rooftop unit, performing a major repair, and documenting readings. Preventive maintenance rounds follow: lubrication, inspections, and safety checks. Before clocking out, you could be interpreting a complex schematic for a planned overhaul and staging parts for tomorrow’s work.
What You’ll Tackle
- Execute electro‑mechanical maintenance across the plant: welding, carpentry, plumbing, pipefitting, millwright, sheet metal, electrical and mechanical installs/repairs, plus painting and masonry as needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance, oiling, and lubrication to extend asset life and prevent downtime.
- Conduct major machine/equipment overhauls and return systems to service.
- Carry out HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting, and major repairs on facility systems.
- Safely work on power systems up to 480V; perform electrical installation, troubleshooting, repair, and relay testing.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, shop and machine drawings, schematics, and sketches to plan and execute work.
- Complete machine safety inspections and follow established safety procedures and standards.
- Support continuous improvement aligned to Lean practices (5S, single‑piece flow, Kanban).
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
What You Bring
- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Graduate of a vocational training program or equivalent experience.
- Team‑oriented communicator who thrives in a highly participative environment.
- Proficient in mechanical repair plus at least four additional crafts.
- Comfort with advanced mathematics and all types of precision measuring instruments.
- Proficiency across: mechanical troubleshooting; 120/208/240/480V systems; electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair; relay testing; HVAC service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair; machine safety inspections.
- OSHA 10‑Hour certification (OSHA 10) /valued.
- Willingness to obtain a boiler license if requested by the company.
