Job DescriptionJob Description A day in the life

You start by reviewing your service schedule, loading the truck with the tools and parts you’ve selected, and heading to a customer site. On arrival, you test and repair industrial motors, install equipment to spec, and troubleshoot issues on the spot. Throughout the day you document your work clearly, speak with customers and management to coordinate timing, and keep your service vehicle in top condition. Before you wrap, you file your expense report and line up the next visit.

What you’ll tackle

  • Service, test, and install equipment per customer specifications, company standards, and the established service schedule—diagnosing and resolving problems on-site within acceptable time frames.
  • Apply product and service knowledge; proactively pursue training and education as needed.
  • Handle ESDS items and follow the ESD program diligently.
  • Document all work accurately and legibly according to company policy and submit promptly.
  • Coordinate with management and customers to ensure timely scheduling of repairs, installations, and service.
  • Maintain the service vehicle in proper running condition and arrange routine maintenance.
  • Build and sustain strong field relationships to deliver excellent customer service and enhance the company’s reputation.
  • Submit expense reports weekly or as required.
  • Read and interpret customer instructions and specifications.
  • Gather, transport, and account for all equipment and tools needed for each job.

Schedule and travel

Hours vary by site—some days begin around 7a, others may wrap near 6p—and there is a high likelihood of overtime. Expect occasional weekends and some travel.

Compensation & role type

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience)

Job Type: Full-time

Background check

They will need a clean background check, some of our customers won’t let techs onsite without have a clean background check on file.
