Health & Safety Manager – Building Materials Manufacturing

This role is about more than policies and paperwork. It’s about leading the work that keeps people alive, keeps operations running, and keeps the business on the right side of the law.

What you’ll do:

• Run OSHA, NFPA, and ANSI safety programs from start to finish

• Write, update, and enforce plant safety policies

• Oversee and track all regulatory and safety training

• Manage workers comp cases, doctor visits, light duty, and forecasting

• Train employees on hazard identification, run audits, and close the loop with corrective actions

• Own the health & safety budget—PPE, supplies, and first aid

• Report weekly and monthly on safety performance

• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and case management

• Act as Medical First Responder when needed

• Review safety in Management of Change processes

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of safety leadership in manufacturing

• Knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, and Workers Comp laws

• Experience in hazard recognition, incident investigation, and case management

• First Aid, AED, and CPR certifications

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in plant conditions (heat, cold, noise, heights)

• Willingness to travel up to 10 days per year
