DRT is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join us on our first shift.
SUMMARY: Responsible for performing Preventative and Reactive maintenance on machines, facilities, and other company assets and property.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
· Troubleshooting machinery breakdowns or malfunctions, identifying the cause, and repairing or replacing malfunctioning components
· Performing preventive maintenance tasks such as lubricating machinery or replacing filters
· Troubleshooting hydraulics, electronics, and software, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
· Conduct minor and major repairs on building structures and systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
· Assisting in selection, Install and set up new equipment and machinery, assist in supervising any contracted help if needed
· Participate in the development and implementation of safety awareness programs, including but not limited to OSHA, NFPA 70E, Safety Committee
· Plumbing; including installation, repair and maintenance of air lines and water lines.
· Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
· Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
· Trouble-shooting skills.
· Extensive knowledge of CNC machine maintenance, including electrical schematics, machine drawings, and machine controls.
· Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance programs and systems.
· General knowledge of OSHA Safety Requirements
· Prefer supervisory and planning experience for when work is outsourced
· Prefer forklift, aerial lift, crane and non-certified welding knowledge/experience
· PC skills – email, Microsoft Office.
· Basic writing and verbal communication skills.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· Career Tech Certificate, Associate’s degree or minimum 3-5 years equivalent work experience.
SKILLS:
Must be fluent in English with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing drawings, technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Must be able to respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Must be able to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to the prescribed style and format and to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or Board of Directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Uses addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of numbers including decimals and fractions. Uses simple formulae, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules. Checks reports, forms, records and comparable data where interpretation is required involving basic skills knowledge.
REASONING ABILITY:
Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
