Aerotek is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing company located in Collierville, TN.

This position is a 6 month contract to hire role on either 2nd (Monday-Friday 3:00PM to 11:30PM) or 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday 11pm-730am) + overtime as needed. Pay ranges from $27-$35/hr depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform wiring for 110 - 480 V 3 phase motors, motor control drives.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor edits on PLCs, reset faults, and replace sensors.
• Conduct mechanical repairs on rollers, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, and presses.
• Utilize CMMS for preventive maintenance and work orders to minimize production downtime.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams.
• Engage in 50/50 mechanical to electrical work balance.
• Basic use of Microsoft Word and Excel for record-keeping and documentation.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience with 3 phase motors, VFD, and PLC troubleshooting.
• Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical circuits (24vdc, 120/230/480 single and 3-phase circuits).
• Experience with injection molding, robotics, and general automation.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints and drawings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 5 years in an electrical and mechanical maintenance role, with a minimum of 2 years in manufacturing.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, compressors, water chillers, plumbing, and hydraulics.
• experience with calipers, electrical meters, pressure reading devices, and temperature gauges.
• Experience with Kawasaki, Arburg, and similar robotic systems.
• Fabricating and welding skills are a major plus but not required.

Work Environment

non-temperature-controlled environment, with temperatures ranging from 50 degrees in winter to 100 degrees in summer. The facility can be very loud, so hearing protection is provided and required. Attire includes jeans or work pants, work shirts, and steel toe boots.
