Job Title: Facility Maintenance Technician
Pay rate: $24.00
1st shift: Sundays to Thursdays | 5:30am-1:00pm
Duration: Temp-to-hire | 3 months temp with a possibility of extension or permanent conversion
Location: Lancaster, TX
Industry: Food Manufacturing
We're looking for a Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for safely maintaining, repairing, replacing, and modifying all processing, packaging, and facility equipment with optimal quality and efficiency. In addition, the incumbent possesses supervisory responsibilities and functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates 100% functionality to complete work orders as well as log corrective maintenance issues
- Perform minimal electrical repairs and troubleshoot for the following: AC & DC motor controls, solid state motor controls, and test equipment
- Read schematics, drawings, and manuals to establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Must demonstrate an understanding of the company's objectives including productivity, yields, food safety, quality, customer service and cost goals; daily work activities should support achieving those goals
- Oversee or perform daily inspections, emergency repairs, routine adjustments, and follow periodic preventive maintenance schedule
- Model professional workplace conduct and adherence to company policies such as the GMP compliance, attendance, punctuality, efficient and productive work habits, and good personal hygiene
- Provide support to Process Improvement (PI) projects and participate in safety teams
- Serve as a resource to others in order to resolve mechanical issues
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Must posses strong level of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting skills (logic and control circuits) and emergency repair skills; ability to identify and repair problematic issues concerning all equipment and machinery, including finding innovative solutions to recurrent problems
Skills and Requirements:
- 3 years Industrial Controls experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is required
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency
- Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools
- Must be able to walk, bend, stand, and reach for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift 49 lbs.
