Industrial Maintenance Technician

We are looking to hire a Maintenance Technician in Kent, WA for a high volume food production facility. This position will be in a food-grade facility that will have you maintaining and repairing production line equipment. Will be working in all specialties, including electrical, PLCs, welding, mechanical, refrigeration, pneumatic, and structural. This is a contract-to-hire position.

Compensation: $33 - $34/hr, DOE

Location: Kent, WA

Available Schedules: Sunday - Thursday OR Tuesday - Sunday

Available shifts:

• 1st shift: 5:30 am - 2 pm

• 3rd shift: 9:30 pm - 6 am

Responsibilities:

• Dismantle machinery in order to gain access and then replace/repair defective parts

• Reassemble machinery

• Lubricate and clean mechanisms on the production line

• Conduct inspections on fire systems, freezers, refrigeration systems, etc, and enter information into daily summaries

• Conduct preventive maintenance work on equipment

• Responsible to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements: 

• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs

• Have a basic working knowledge of how to use a computer

• Have Industrial Maintenance Technician experience in a food manufacturing environment

• Be able to pass a drug screen and a background check
