Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Location: Janesville, WI. 53546

Job Salary: $34 - $39 Hour

Job Shift: 1st shift & 2nd shift Positions

Job Type: Full-Time (*Direct-Hire)

Position Summary

Supports the general and preventative maintenance efforts within the facility. Assists the facility in accomplishing its goals of increased efficiencies, scrap reduction, reduction of downtime, and developing new products by providing the best technical support possible.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • ·        Execute routine, preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance activities for the manufacturing equipment and support           equipment.
  • ·        Possess the skills to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair control and non control-based production equipment.
  • ·        Identify problems and solutions on existing equipment; make suggestions/recommendations on specific manufacturers’               components to be installed on new equipment and /or upgrades to assist in standardization of parts throughout the facility.
  • ·        Participate with the Maintenance leader and the Production Unit in purchasing new, rebuild or upgrades for equipment               projects. This will involve identifying project scope, timelines, budgets and resource scheduling.
  • ·        Manage planned downtime activities for equipment. This will involve ordering required component parts and identifying               additional resources to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • ·        Maintain work area in an organized fashion; ensure area is cleaned after each job is completed.
  • ·        Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve the equipment’s reliability and maintainability.
  • ·        Document control (work orders, inventory control etc.).
  • ·        Assist in the development of preventive, predictive and repair tasks and procedures.
  • ·        Follow all safety regulations and practices including but not limited to lockout/tag out and required personal protective                 equipment.
  • ·        Effectively utilize and follow systems for inventory control of spare parts, labor reporting, maintenance requests,                         Preventive Maintenance work orders, and purchasing.
  • ·        Effectively communicate issues to all appropriate personnel to ensure information is shared with all appropriate parties.
  • ·        Assist Production Unit in line changeovers and set-ups as needed.
  • ·        Individuals directed by management to operate a vehicle for work purposes will observe the requirements of the Fleet                 Safety Program.
  • ·        Support, promote, and perform in a manner consistent with continuous improvement goals and the values of which                      includes following the policies, procedures, and requirements of our Quality Management and IS0 14001 Environmental              Management Systems.
  • ·        All other duties as assigned by your supervisor, including powered industrial truck certifications when applicable.

Qualifications and Experience

  • ·        Education, Certifications, and Experience
  • ·        Required High School degree or equivalent.
  • ·        Required 5 to 6 years or more of industrial maintenance experience. (Presses, CNC (mills & lathes), furnaces, hydraulics, electrical)
  • ·        Required Training certifications in a technical field. (Presses, CNC (mills & lathes), furnaces, hydraulics, electrical)
  • ·        Required Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • ·        Required Ability to work from ladder or elevated platform.
  • ·        Required Ability to maintain a forklift license
  • ·        Required Ability to read and understand blueprints.
