Job Title: Maintenance Electrician
Location: St. Clair, MO
Pay Rate: $33/-$38/hr
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Technician to join our team in St. Clair, MO. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in electrical and mechanical systems and demonstrate a strong understanding of industrial machinery and automation controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute electrical maintenance and troubleshoot faulty electrical equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve PLC and computer program issues.
- Implement necessary program adjustments and changes.
- Support controls and automation-focused projects.
- Install and configure scanning and data collection systems.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will be a strategic problem solver with strong organizational skills, capable of identifying errors and suggesting practical solutions. A commitment to meeting deadlines and working independently in a professional manner is essential.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Electronics Technology education preferred (trade school, military, or apprenticeship).
- Proven knowledge and experience in programming electrical controls and PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred).
- Familiarity with servos, robotics, and operational understanding of automated industrial machinery.
Technical Expertise:
- Competency in wiring 480V 3-phase power systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting controls and relays logic.
- Ability to repair industrial mechanical systems—including photo eyes, conveyors, gearboxes, proximity switches, production equipment, etc.
- Skill in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, flow meters, starters, relays, VFDs, and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with preventative maintenance (including PLC, SERVO).
- Command of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for PLC systems.
- Competence in using Plasma cutters and Mig welders.
Additional Requirements:
- Computer literacy in the Microsoft environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
