Industrial Generator Mechanic

Job Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on industrial diesel and natural gas generators, up to 3500 kW (3.5 mW) from top brands like Cummins, Caterpillar, Kohler, Generac, MTU, and more..
• Identify worn and damaged parts through inspections and diagnostic tests.
• Complete preventive maintenance schedules, install components and parts, perform upgrades, and maintain accurate records.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair minor to major failures found.
• Submit complete and detailed service order paperwork
• Work efficiently and safely at all times

Job Requirements/Skills

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as an industrial diesel generator AND engine mechanic.
• Expertise in diesel engine technology and large industrial diesel engines. 
• Paralleling and Landbank, experience is required
• Switchgear (ATS) strongly desired
• Experience repairing and maintaining a multitude of brands like Caterpillar, Cummins, and Detroit Diesel.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on industrial engines.
  • Preferably BOTH top AND bottom ends
• Strong team player, excellent customer service and  strong work ethic

Additional Requirements

• Tools, clean criminal background and valid license with no DUI offenses past 3 years
• Drug test and physical required
