Position Responsibilities:

  • Apply established standards to develop and update work instructions.
  • Update precedence networks to support tooling and production scheduling decisions.
  • Create and maintain engineering performance metrics.
  • Integrate modular tooling solutions into production processes.
  • Analyze current and future business environments to develop forecasts, acquisition strategies, and resource utilization plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain complex business system factory definitions for manufacturing planning.
  • Prepare labor hour estimates for new or revised production and tooling work packages using labor standards, design reviews, and cross-functional inputs.
  • Monitor and track performance against defined metrics.
  • Contribute to the development of integrated production schedules, including crew planning, learning curves, shift analysis, crew sizing, tooling capacity, and rate flow.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions using established methodologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Analyze deviations from approved plans caused by unplanned events.
  • Evaluate the impact of changes on cost, schedule, resources, and delivery timelines.
  • Develop and implement modifications to existing plans and secure necessary approvals.
  • Participate in cross-functional discussions and negotiations to support schedule commitments and scope changes.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain integrated shop operating plans to optimize equipment and workforce utilization, reduce inventory, and meet cost and schedule targets.
  • Analyze shop performance data and recommend actionable improvements for production and tooling management.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

  • Level 3: Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master’s degree with 4+ years of experience, or 10+ years of related experience).
