Industrial Electrician/Programmer

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionIndustrial Electrician/Programmer: Monticello, WIWe’re looking for a skilled Electrician/Automation Programmer to join our client’s team and support both the electrical and automation systems in a food manufacturing facility. This hands-on role combines traditional electrical work with cutting-edge control system programming to keep equipment running efficiently, safely, and in compliance with food industry standards. If you enjoy troubleshooting, optimizing processes, and working with both hardware and software, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:Electrical Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and machinery
  • Troubleshoot motors, control panels, wiring, and safety systems
  • Conduct routine maintenance in line with safety and food production standards
  • Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams
  • Ensure OSHA and food industry compliance (GMP, HACCP)
  • Test and verify system performance and code adherence

Automation Programming Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, and maintain PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
  • Troubleshoot automation issues to reduce downtime
  • Collaborate across teams to optimize machine performance
  • Monitor and enhance automation system reliability
  • Maintain documentation for control systems and software configurations
  • Ensure food safety and automation compliance

Skills & Experience:

  • Education: HSD or GED, required. Technical certification or degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field, .
  • Experience: 3+ years as an Industrial Electrician and/or Programmer, required; in a food manufacturing or food production environment,
  • Knowledge: PLC systems & food-grade standards, required
  • Software: Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, HMI, and/or SCADA systems, at least 1, required

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00/hour + BONUS: up to $2.00/hour, paid weekly
Type: Full-time, 1st Shift, On-site
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., OT as needed
