Industrial/Maintenance Electrician – Frome

Salary: £49,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: 4 days on / 4 days off

Location: Frome, Somerset

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you an experienced Maintenance Electrician looking for a rewarding role in a fast-paced industrial environment? We’re seeking a skilled professional to join our team and help maintain and optimise plant operations.

About the Role

As an Industrial/Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for:

• Performing start-up and shut-down routines to maximise plant throughput
• Conducting planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and static plant
• Installing and maintaining LV/HV electrical assets, motors, starters, and control systems
• Supporting instrumentation calibration and troubleshooting
• Maintaining accurate records using CMMS systems
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and site standards
• Supporting apprentices and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• ECS/JIB Electrician (Gold Card) – Installation or Maintenance
• Time-served apprentice or NVQ in electrical engineering
• Eexperience in a maintenance engineering role
• Strong understanding of LV/HV systems, PLCs, SCADA, and industrial automation
• Computer literacy (MS Office) and familiarity with CMMS systems
• Self-motivated team player with a proactive approach to safety and problem-solving

Desirable:

• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering
• HV Safe Systems of Work (AP/SAP)
• IET Membership or Professional Registration
