A day in the life
- Start with a safety-first mindset—follow all safety rules and PPE standards, and champion our Safety Culture by actively participating in CMC safety programs.
- Coordinate with ARP Planners to align on maintenance priorities and the daily schedule.
- Diagnose electrical systems and equipment using test gear, hand tools, and your own troubleshooting logic to uncover root causes.
- Tackle AC/DC motor controls, PLCs, electrical drives, and high-voltage systems up to the site’s maximum ratings—interpreting electrical and electronic schematics along the way.
- Inspect and service shop machinery, mobile equipment, HVAC systems, PLC networks, and overhead cranes.
- Apply a working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, distribution control, fluidic, and electrical systems to keep operations running.
- Document your work—repairs, parts used, and time—maintaining accurate records in our systems.
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance, from part replacements and adjustments to calibrations, assembly, installation, testing, and PM tasks across manufacturing assets.
- Provide technical support to both maintenance and production teams.
- Keep your work area and surrounding spaces orderly as part of daily housekeeping standards.
- Use the SAP maintenance module to retrieve documentation, log actions, and account for time and materials.
- Operate diagnostic instruments including digital voltmeters, paper recorders, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and related tools.

What you bring
- Comfort working in a fast-paced industrial setting and at heights; able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Sharp analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on AC/DC troubleshooting experience (required).
- Proficiency in maintaining and repairing electrical control systems.
- Familiarity with melting, casting, and rolling processes and equipment ().
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience ().
- Experience with MRO workflows; SAP maintenance system exposure ().
- Ability to apply electrical and mechanical maintenance principles; working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Awareness of NFPA 70E requirements ().
- Siemens or other PLC troubleshooting experience ().
- Strong multitasking and time-management abilities.
- Solid grasp of electrical safe work practices.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
