Job Title:\nImprovement Manager – Procurement

Location: Barrow-In-Furness –\nWe offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements –\nplease speak to your\nrecruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: £56,000+ Depending on\nexperience

What you’ll be\ndoing:

  • Responsibility\nfor managing change\nwithin the function, chairing functional change boards at all\nlevels
  • Leading and developing the\nFunctional Improvement team while coaching and mentoring in the\neffective application of tools and methodologies
  • \n

  • Analysing\noperational performance to identify inefficiencies, waste, and\nareas that would benefit from an improved performance
  • \n

  • Leading\nprojects end-to-end, ensuring successful implementation and\nlong-term sustainability
  • Facilitating training\nsessions and workshops
  • Tracking and reporting\non benefit realisation
  • Collaborate with the\nTransformation team and broader function to support the successful\ndelivery of the Supply Chain functional strategic objectives

Your skills and\nexperiences:

Essential:

\n

  • Proven experience in driving\nimprovement, operational excellence, or process optimisation within\nSupply Chain functions, alongside demonstrable line management capability
  • \n

  • Good understanding of Procurement processes
  • \n

  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt\npreferred), or other improvement methodologies, with high-level\nanalytical and\nproblem-solving skills
  • Experienced in managing stakeholders with an\nability to guide and influence outcomes

Desirable:

  • Degree in\nBusiness, Engineering, Operations Management, or related\nfield

The Systems of Work\nEnablement (CI) Team

Join us as a\nContinuous Improvement Manager in Supply Chain and take\nthe lead in driving\nimpactful change. You will guide cross-functional teams to uncover\nopportunities, implement process enhancements, and champion a culture of continuous\nimprovement across the function. This developing team offers a\nunique opportunity for you to shape its direction and influence how\nwe operate as we continue to grow and evolve. We offer relocation\nsupport packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting\neligibility criteria.
