Position Summary:
The Import Export Coordinator is responsible for managing and supporting import and export activities. This includes ensuring compliance with U.S. import & export regulations, coordinating inbound & outbound shipments, preparing and reviewing documentation, and maintaining accurate records in accordance with CBP and other government agency requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate import/export transactions in accordance with U.S. Customs regulations.
- Process and maintain documentation, export manifests, commercial invoices, and other applicable controls.
- Assist in verifying the classification of goods using HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) codes and country of for accuracy.
- Ensure all inventory activities are accurately recorded and fully auditable in the inventory control & recordkeeping system to support compliance, traceability, and reporting accuracy.
- Support weekly and monthly reporting requirements, including export summaries, while meeting established deadlines.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, brokers, carriers, and internal logistics teams to coordinate timely and compliant export shipments.
- Monitor export timelines, troubleshoot delays, and ensure shipping documents match the export declaration.
- Support the Trade Compliance Team in responding to inquiries, submitting corrections, and maintaining SOPs.
Qualifications:
- Associate in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience in trade compliance, exports, or logistics required.
- Familiarity with U.S. export regulations, CBP procedures, and ACE portal.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Proficient in MS SUITE required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional coordination.
- Experience with bonded movements .
- Familiarity with trade compliance software such as Descartes or SAP .
Work Environment:
Primary location at the AGL main office (Surprise, AZ) with regular travel to client site (Casa Grande, AZ).
