Job Summary

The HVAC Warehouse Apprentice serves as the primary point of contact between the HVAC division and the warehouse team. This role supports our field technicians by ensuring tools, vehicles, and materials are ready for daily operations. The apprentice learns the fundamentals of HVAC systems, inventory management, and fleet readiness while gaining hands-on exposure to the trade - an ideal entry point for those interested in advancing into the HVAC Maintenance Technician track.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Act as the HVAC point of contact within the warehouse, coordinating communication between technicians, managers, and inventory staff
• Assist with staging and organizing tools, equipment, and parts for upcoming jobs and training sessions
• Support fleet readiness, including fueling, vehicle organization, safety checks, and transporting vehicles as needed
• Complete supply runs, deliveries, and pickups across company locations or job sites
• Assist with inventory management, ensuring proper labeling, stock rotation, and accurate documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse in alignment with company safety standards
• Participate in basic HVAC training and mentorship, building knowledge for future technician opportunities
• Support equipment repairs or tool tracking, reporting damaged or missing items
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and teamwork consistent with Bill Howe's core values

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid California driver's license with clean driving record (required)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely around tools, ladders, and mechanical equipment
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, rooftops, and varying environmental conditions.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
• Willingness to learn HVAC trade fundamentals and safety procedures
• Positive attitude and commitment to excellent customer service
