HVAC Technician (Apprentice & Experienced) — Residential & Commercial

Location: Charleston, SC & Surrounding Areas
Type: Full‐time (hourly) + commission/bonus opportunities

About AMS
We’re expanding our HVAC team to install, maintain, and repair a wide variety of residential and commercial systems while delivering excellent customer service.

Open Levels

• Apprentice/Helper (entry level)

• HVAC Technician (journeyman/experienced)

What You’ll Do (both levels)

• Install/service split systems, heat pumps, mini‐splits, and package units.

• Support/perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.

• Ensure compliance with manufacturer specs and local codes; maintain clean, organized job sites.

• Communicate findings and recommendations professionally; complete accurate documentation.

Level‐Specific Scope

• Apprentice/Helper: Carry tools/materials, follow safety policies, learn troubleshooting and system service; support technicians on installs and service calls.

• HVAC Technician: Lead diagnostics and repairs, set up/commission equipment, mentor apprentices, and ensure quality workmanship.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Apprentice/Helper: Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn; HVAC/construction experience a plus but not required.

• HVAC Technician: 2+ years residential/commercial HVAC experience ; EPA Certification (Type II or Universal ); strong troubleshooting and customer‐service skills. SC HVAC/mechanical license a plus.
