Don Myers Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is looking for an experienced HVAC lead technician.
Responsibilities
• We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of HVAC systems while providing top-notch service to our clients
• Located in a dynamic environment, you will play a key role in maintaining our reputation for excellence
• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including refrigeration units and air conditioning systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems
• Collaborate with team members to design efficient HVAC solutions tailored to client needs
• Utilize tools such as Ohmmeters to assess electrical components of HVAC systems
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in HVAC technology
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly
• Document all service activities accurately for reporting purposes

Qualifications
• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician with a strong background in equipment repair and maintenance, with focus on Commercial equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose complex issues effectively.
• Familiarity with design principles related to HVAC installations
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• Certification or relevant training in HVAC technology is highly desirable. Prefer HVAC license applicable to Allen County, IN and Ohio.
Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications:
• 5 years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining residential and commercial / industrial HVAC/R equipment.
• EPA universal certification required
• NATE certification but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• OSHA 10 hour

• Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency with electrical and mechanical diagnostics
• Familiarity with blueprint, schematic, drawings, and other equipment layout materials
Schedule:
• 10 hour shift
• Overtime
• Year round work
