Job DescriptionJob Description

Install rectangular, round and flexible duct. Assemble duct seal joints, cut holes, install taps and air devices.

> May drill holes to mount units and lift parts into position

> Locate and mark position of pipe/duct connections and passage holes for same in walls and floors using ruler, spirit level and plumb bob

> Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe/duct fittings using hand tools and power tools

> Cut and thread pipe using pipe cutters, cutting torch and pipe-threading machine

> Able to use snips and paint brushes 

Physical requirements

Physical effort required to lift objects weighing up to 70 lbs, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs; ability to see well (naturally or with correction) and to distinguish colors; ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch; ability to climb and maintain balance on high ladders and scaffolds; ability to reach for, handle and feel objects.

Environmental Requirements

New construction outdoors or clean institutional buildings.
