The HVAC Technician role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial and industrial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Operating primarily as an independent technician, this position requires expertise in troubleshooting, system testing, and ensuring safety compliance. The role entails local travel and working with various diagnostic tools and digital software to maintain optimal equipment performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial and industrial HVAC systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues
• Conduct system testing to verify proper operation
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations
• Calibrate HVAC equipment for optimal performance
• Document service activities and maintain accurate records
• Replace parts and components as needed
• Utilize manual diagnostic tools, digital monitoring software, and mobile reporting applications

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with commercial and industrial HVAC systems
• Vocational training in HVAC or a related technical field
• EPA Certification for refrigerants
• Experience with HVAC system installation and electrical wiring
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems and diagnostic tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
