HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic

Location: Austin, TX 78746 (Project site in Cedar Creek area, Austin)

Pay: $26–$30/hr

Schedule: 6 days a week, 10-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

Project Overview

We're looking for experienced HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanics to join our team for a ground-up school project in the Cedar Creek area of Austin. This long-term project involves installing new kitchen hoods and associated ductwork at several schools. If you're skilled in reading blueprints, running straight ductwork, and assembling uninsulated duct, this is a fantastic opportunity for steady hours and competitive pay.

Job Responsibilities

As an HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic, you'll be responsible for:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and duct layout drawings.
• Running straight ductwork and putting together uninsulated duct according to specifications.
• Assembling and installing sheet metal components.
• Using various hand tools to complete daily tasks efficiently.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Proven experience in reading prints, running straight ductwork, and assembling uninsulated duct.
• All your own hand tools.
• All required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Reliable transportation to and from the Cedar Creek area in Austin.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred, but we can accommodate Spanish-only speakers.
