HVAC Service Technician in Carnegie

Job DescriptionJob Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Install HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork
• Diagnose system issues and perform repairs in a timely manner
• Perform routine maintenance (filter changes, system cleaning, inspections)
• Test system performance and ensure proper operation
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Handle refrigerants safely in accordance with EPA regulations
• Communicate with customers regarding issues, solutions, and recommendations
• Maintain tools, equipment, and the company vehicle in good condition
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an HVAC technician
• Knowledge of electrical systems and HVAC components
• EPA Certification (required for handling refrigerants)
• Ability to troubleshoot and work independently
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy equipment (50+ lbs)
• Work in confined spaces, attics, and outdoors in various weather conditions
