Position Summary

The HVAC Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing a wide range of HVAC systems. This role requires advanced technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a motivated professional who can work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of residential and commercial HVAC systems.

• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and efficiency.

• Accurately document service calls, repairs, and recommendations for customers.

• Explain findings and solutions clearly to customers in a professional manner.

• Install replacement parts and make necessary adjustments for proper operation.

• Stay current with new HVAC technology, codes, and safety standards.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in clean and professional condition.

• Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of HVAC service experience (commercial experience required).

• Journeyman Certification and EPA Certification required.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, controls, and gas piping. Must have experience with commercial boilers, chillers, air handlers, ice machines and large refrigeration equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and service manuals.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varied environments (indoors, outdoors, confined spaces, heights).

• Experience with advanced systems (EMS controls and outside building communication, VRF, mini-splits, boilers, hydronic heating).

• Comfort with digital invoicing software and reporting tools.
