Position Summary
The HVAC Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing a wide range of HVAC systems. This role requires advanced technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a motivated professional who can work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities

Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of residential and commercial HVAC systems.

Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and efficiency.

Accurately document service calls, repairs, and recommendations for customers.

Explain findings and solutions clearly to customers in a professional manner.

Install replacement parts and make necessary adjustments for proper operation.

Stay current with new HVAC technology, codes, and safety standards.

Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in clean and professional condition.

Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations.
Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of HVAC service experience (commercial experience required).

Journeyman Certification and EPA Certification required.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, controls, and gas piping. Must have experience with commercial boilers, chillers, air handlers, ice machines and large refrigeration equipment.

Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and service manuals.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varied environments (indoors, outdoors, confined spaces, heights).

Experience with advanced systems (EMS controls and outside building communication, VRF, mini-splits, boilers, hydronic heating).

Comfort with digital invoicing software and reporting tools.
