Essential Job Functions:

  • Install, maintain, and service residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC and boiler systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Properly size, layout, and install HVAC equipment and ductwork
  • Diagnose system issues and perform accurate repairs and replacements
  • Charge, recover, and reclaim refrigerants following EPA standards
  • Braze and solder refrigerant line sets as needed
  • Ensure compliance with Michigan Mechanical Code and all applicable safety guidelines (OSHA, MIOSHA, MSHA)
  • Maintain accurate and timely job documentation and field reports
  • Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and team members
  • Keep company vehicle clean and organized; care for company-owned tools and equipment

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of HVAC installation and/or service experience
  • Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with boiler systems
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification (Required)
  • Valid Michigan Chauffeur's License with current Medical Card
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints and schematics
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in varying environments
  • Must be available for on-call HVAC service needs, including after-hours and weekends
