Location: Based in Worcester, MA — Servicing Eastern Massachusetts & Southern New Hampshire
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation: $75,000 – $110,000 per year (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team in Worcester, MA. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the service, repair, and maintenance of industrial and commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems across Eastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire.

As a key member of our field operations team, you will troubleshoot, diagnose, and provide reliable solutions to ensure the efficiency and performance of critical mechanical systems. This role is ideal for technicians who are self-motivated, safety-focused, and passionate about delivering top-tier service.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of HVAC and refrigeration systems, including:

  • Walk-in coolers/freezers, ice machines, reach-in units

  • Rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, air handlers

  • Control systems, thermostats, and energy management systems

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections to maximize equipment performance and longevity

• Follow service tickets, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics

• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer specifications

• Communicate clearly with dispatch, supervisors, and customers regarding status, repairs, and recommendations

• Accurately document service work and parts usage through mobile or digital platforms

• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency service

• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in excellent working order

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial/industrial HVAC/R service

• Valid Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License

• EPA Universal Certification (Required)

• Strong knowledge of HVAC/R system operation, electrical troubleshooting, and refrigerant handling

• Excellent time management, communication, and customer service skills

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Ability to work independently and problem-solve under pressure

• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in various indoor/outdoor environments

Qualifications:

• Manufacturer or OEM certifications (Carrier, Trane, York, Lennox, Daikin, etc.)

• Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS)

• OSHA 10/30 Certification

• Experience in servicing critical environments (healthcare, labs, manufacturing, data centers)

• Knowledge of energy efficiency upgrades and retrofit solutions
