Job Description
The Role: Mechanical / HVAC Project Manager\n You will take full responsibility for the planning, coordination, and commercial success of mechanical projects across retail and commercial sites. The role combines on-site leadership with client communication, cost control, and programme management.\n Key Responsibilities\n\nLead mechanical projects (HVAC, plumbing, ductwork, pumps) from design stage through to completion\nAttend site surveys, define project scope and deliverables, and plan resource allocation\nCoordinate subcontractors and internal teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery\nManage multiple fast-track retail and commercial projects simultaneously\nReview drawings, specifications, and technical submittals\nProvide mechanical engineering input during design and pre-construction phases\nEnsure compliance with industry standards and statutory requirementsCost & Commercial Management\n\nDevelop project budgets and manage financial performance throughout delivery\nProduce CVRs, track variations, and ensure accurate forecasting\nSupport value engineering initiatives without compromising qualityStakeholder & Client Engagement\n\nAct as main point of contact for clients, project teams, and operational stakeholders\nAttend progress meetings and provide clear updates on programme and cost\nEnsure a positive client experience and build long-term relationships\n Required Experience:\n\n5+ years in Mechanical / HVAC project management\nStrong exposure to retail or commercial projects\nBackground in building services or M&E contracting\nStrong understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing, ductwork, and mechanical plant\nProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously\nCommercially strong with experience producing CVRs, managing budgets, and controlling variations\nExcellent stakeholder, client-facing, and communication skillsQualifications & Certs:\n\nMechanical Engineering / Building Services background\nSMSTS (strongly )\nCSCS card\nFirst Aid / Asbestos Awareness advantageous \n\nCalibre Search promote equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their , race, , religion/beliefs, sexual or .
