HVAC New Construction Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dependable New Construction Service Technician to join our team at RJ Kielty. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in new construction service, installation, and equipment start-up. This role requires technical expertise, strong administrative skills, and the ability to handle service calls efficiently.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM
• Occasional after-hours/on-demand shifts

Compensation:

• $20 - $25 per hour, negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform new construction service and equipment installation/start-up.
• Evacuate moisture from systems and change refrigerant as needed.
• Connect electrical controls and thermostats correctly and safely.
• Handle service calls for first-year warranty issues (excluding after-hours calls).
• Order parts timely to ensure efficient job completion.
• Maintain detailed notes and ensure legible handwriting for record-keeping.
• Occasionally provide after-hours support on an on-demand basis.
• Safely operate a company vehicle, which can be taken home.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in new construction service tech roles.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC/refrigeration systems and electrical controls.
• Good administrative skills with accurate note-taking and record maintenance.
• Reliable and punctual with the ability to work independently.
• Clean driving record and ability to take home company vehicle.
• No sales responsibilities involved in this role.
