Position Summary
Quality Heating & Air is seeking an experienced and motivated Foreman to lead field crews and oversee day-to-day job site operations. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Job Preparation & Coordination
- Ensure all required materials and equipment are on-site to complete assigned projects
- Verify that crew members have the proper tools needed for their work
- Manage daily schedules to ensure project timelines are met
- Attend and actively participate in job site meetings
- Coordinate with other trades to avoid conflicts and delays
- Obtain approval from the Superintendent or office before proceeding with change orders or additional work
Quality Control
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship across all projects
- Monitor crew productivity and ensure work stays on schedule
- Follow sheet metal shop drawings to ensure proper installation and accuracy
Team Leadership & Employee Management
- Enforce all company safety policies and job site regulations
- Maintain a professional and respectful work environment
- Address and resolve employee conflicts; escalate ongoing issues to management when necessary
- Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to each team member
- Manage employee breaks and ensure compliance with company policies
- Contact the office for approval prior to authorizing overtime (OT)
- Evaluate crew performance and provide feedback as needed
Technical Skills & Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, sheet metal installation, and applicable building codes
- Experience measuring and laying out ductwork
- Ability to read and understand submittals and specifications
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC/Sheet Metal Foreman or similar leadership role
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency
