HVAC Field Operations - Commercial

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced leader of a growing HVAC Commercial division. A FOC is the face of the company in the field. Years of experience in commercial new construction including: Retail Stores, Office Tenant Fit out, Remodeling, Restaurants, Kitchen Equipment, VAV systems, Split Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruiting

• Recruiting, interviewing and hiring talent with assistants from RMS team.

Pre-Construction

• Each project will have a turn over from estimating and or Project Manager.
• FOC may assist PM in office with Buyout, submittals and budgets.
• Following turn over – FOC will reach out to customer for expectations.
• Visit site and develop an extensive material list along with a metal cut sheet.
• Release all materials and set up schedule start times for Install team.

Construction

• Manage the scheduling of installers.
• May have to gather material from various vendors and deliver to project.
• Take RMS install team to project – walk project while reviewing plans and answering all questions until there is a clear understanding of the scope.
• Communicate daily with team - visit project as need to check up on production, quality and materials.

Commission

• Coordinate with Service Staff to get equipment started properly.
• Schedule and meet balancing contractor if required.
• Complete as-built drawings are required.

Qualifications:

• Expert at comprehending blueprints and specifications.
• Experience in roof layout, setting curbs, roof equipment, duct installation.
• Strong ductwork takeoff and sketching of grease duct, tdc, s/d, flue pipe, exhaust.
• Installation of Kitchen Hoods, Grease ductwork, hoods, grease fans and fire suppression.
• Installation and connections of VAV’s, Mini Splits, and Split Systems.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Transportation:

• RMS will provide a truck or lease a truck from employee.
• Truck should be at least 6.5 bed – 8’ bed .
• A gas card for work related driving activities.
• E-Z Pass for work related travel.

Electronics:

• We ask to use your personal phone – but will provide a phone if needed.
• RMS will provide a laptop and or an IPAD for
