HVAC Engineer in ox1

Location; Rugeley, Staffordshire (covering the Midlands, with occasional UK-wide project work)

We are working with an established building services provider based in Staffordshire, specialising in air conditioning, refrigeration, heating and ventilation for commercial and industrial clients. The business operates a genuine 24/7 facilities support model, with a strong focus on reliability, compliance and long-term customer relationships.

You will be carrying out installation, planned maintenance and reactive repairs on air conditioning, refrigeration and HVAC systems at customer sites, working from a fully equipped company van. The role covers the Midlands as a core patch, with occasional UK-wide project work, plus involvement in an out-of-hours on-call rota.

Responsibilities of an HVAC Engineer:

Install, service and repair air conditioning, refrigeration, heating and ventilation systems

Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs at customer sites

Diagnose and fault-find on a range of HVAC and refrigeration equipment

Complete FGAS, EICR and other compliance documentation accurately

Liaise directly with customers to explain work carried out and any follow-up requirements

Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota

Manage your own van stock, tools and consumables

Skills & Qualifications of an HVAC Engineer:

FGAS qualification (essential)

Recognised HVAC/refrigeration engineering qualification – NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent

Proven field service experience in air conditioning, refrigeration or HVAC

Full UK driving licence

IOSH or BOHS accreditation desirable

Benefits of an HVAC Engineer:

Basic salary £38,000, with paid overtime taking OTE to £50,000

Monday – Friday, plus out-of-hours on-call rota (paid standby)

Company van and fuel card provided

All tools and equipment supplied
