Job Description
HVAC Engineer\n\nSalary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum\nLocation: North London\nPackage: Company van, fuel card, mobile phone, uniform & PPE provided\nHours: 45 hours per week (9 hours per day, Monday-Friday, 08:00-18:00)\nOn-Call: 1 in 4 weeks rota - £125 per week standby + overtime rates for call-outs\nOvertime: Available at standard rates outside core hours\n\nOur client is one of the fastest-growing, privately owned building maintenance and facilities management companies in the UK. They are a well-recognised and respected brand in the UK FM marketplace, delivering exceptional service levels to key blue-chip clients across commercial, retail, and corporate sectors.\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nWe're seeking experienced HVAC Engineers to join our clients growing operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified engineers looking to work with a reputable FM provider on high-profile client sites, with a strong package and genuine career development opportunities.\n\nYou'll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, ensuring all temperature control and ventilation systems operate efficiently and safely across our client portfolio.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Installing HVAC components including pipework, ductwork, and control panels\n\n * Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on HVAC systems\n\n * Reactive maintenance, inspections, fault finding, and diagnostics\n\n * Maintaining accurate records including daily worksheets, materials used, and site photos\n\n * Building positive working relationships with clients and colleagues\n\n * Ensuring all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices are followed\n\n * Participating in out-of-hours on-call service (1 in 4 weeks rota)\n\nEssential Requirements\n\n * F-Gas (mandatory)\n\n * NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent (Level 3 )\n\n * CSCS Card or equivalent\n\n * Full Clean UK Driving Licence\n\n * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills\n\n * Ability to work independently and as part of a team\n\n * Excellent timekeeping and communication skills\n\n * Basic IT skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)\n\n * Positive, 'can-do' attitude with strong customer service focus\n\nDesirable Qualifications\n\n * Previous experience in facilities management or building services\n\n * First Aid certificate\n\n * Asbestos Awareness certificate\n\n * IPAF - Mobile Vertical (3a) + (3b) Mobile Boom\n\n * PASMA - Mobile Access Tower for Users\n\nWhat We Offer\n\n * Standard working hours: 9 hours per day, 08:00-18:00 (Monday-Friday)\n\n * Company van for work use\n\n * Fuel card\n\n * Mobile phone\n\n * On-call payment: £125 per week standby allowance (1 in 4 weeks) plus overtime rates for call-outs\n\nIdeal Candidate Profile\n\nWe're looking for qualified HVAC engineers based in or willing to cover North London area.
You'll be an experienced professional with strong technical skills in air conditioning and ventilation systems, holding essential F-Gas certification and NVQ Level 3 qualifications.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to maintenance, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the communication skills to represent our client professionally on client sites
