We have an immediate opening for a HVAC Systems Design Engineer within our HVAC Group located in Madison, WI. We are looking for team members who will provide exceptional service to our clients.

The successful candidate will:
- Perform HVAC engineering design calculations, technical comparisons and similar technical work as directed. Prepares studies and reports to evaluate systems and options.
- Evaluate, selects, and applies standard engineering concepts and procedures.
- Review drawings supplied by vendors and clients and provides the appropriate engineering solution to incorporate the design.
- Prepare complete construction documents that match the client and project teams requirements.
- Coordinate design with other disciplines.
- Review shop drawings under the supervision of the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
- Recommend changes or modifications to projects as appropriate.
- Respond to RFIs and prepares CBs under supervision.
- Conduct job site surveys, field observations and develops project punch lists under supervision.
- Coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians in the same department.
- Delegate work tasks to Designers, and BIM Technicians.
- Draw and design simultaneously on complex projects.
- Research code issues and documents findings and reports to supervising engineer.
- Interact with clients as level of experience progresses.
- Assist with technical studies and assessments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
You will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- 2+ years of experience with an engineering consulting firm or an A I E firm
- Professional license
- Experience in healthcare is a plus
- Working knowledge using the latest version of Revit, Bluebeam, as well as Microsoft office Suite of products
- Ability to organize and plan efficiently and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
