Position Title: HVAC Chiller Technician
Location: Elmhurst, IL
Pay: $23.00/hour
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Our client is a respected designer and manufacturer of high-performance, custom process water chillers for critical applications. They offer a clean, organized, and well-lit facility, along with a supportive and team-oriented work culture.
Position Summary:
The HVAC Chiller Technician is responsible for performing critical testing and diagnostics on refrigeration systems prior to shipment. This includes pressurized leak checks, pulling vacuums, charging refrigerant, and troubleshooting to ensure every unit meets performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform leak detection, vacuum pulls, and refrigerant charging on chillers
- Conduct system testing and verify performance to quality standards
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with refrigeration and electrical components
- Read and interpret piping and wiring schematics
- Assemble brass fittings and fit/braze copper tubing
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high product quality and readiness for shipment
Skills & Qualifications:
- HVAC or refrigeration background required
- EPA Certification is a plus
- Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles and system components
- Basic electrical wiring knowledge
- Solid mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across departments
- Sense of humor and positive attitude appreciated
