We're Hiring: HVAC Assistant Service Manager

Location: Kenilworth, NJ | Full-Time | Air System Maintenance

Are you a seasoned HVAC professional looking to take your career to the next level? Were looking for an experienced and motivatedAssistant Service Manager to support our growing service team. In this key leadership role, youll be responsible for guiding technicians, ensuring project success, and helping shape the future of our service department.

What Youll Do:

As the Assistant Service Manager, you'll play a hands-on role in ensuring service excellence across our operations. Your responsibilities will include:

Field Support & Project Oversight

• Assist technicians with technical problem-solving and issue resolution
• Review lump sum service orders for scope, material needs, and accuracy
• Order required equipment and materials
• Support job layout, planning, and manpower coordination
• Conduct site visits to ensure job quality and progress

Service Management & Process Improvement

• Monitor job completion and ensure accurate tracking in Global Edge
• Mark projects and service orders complete and submit for billing
• Provide feedback and assist in refining service processes for greater efficiency
• Review follow-ups from time and material (T&M) work and support estimating team as needed

Mentorship & Training

• Mentor and coach technicians on proper maintenance, repair identification, and documentation
• Lead field training programs, especially for apprentices
• Foster a collaborative and growth-minded service team culture

What Were Looking For:

Experience & Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on HVAC service experience (including installation, maintenance, and repairs)
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and organizational skills
• Self-motivated with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Confident communicator at all levels of the organization
• Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and project workflows
• Prior experience overseeing T&M and lump sum service work
• Proficiency in service management tools (e.g., Global Edge)

Physical Requirements:

• Must be capable of climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, lifting up to 50 lbs, and sitting or standing for extended periods
• Comfortable visiting job sites and working in both office and field environments
