Role Summary:
As an HV Field Test Technician, you will be responsible for:

Commissioning

Routine and diagnostic testing

Fault analysis
-
Test report preparation
…on High Voltage (HV) and Extra High Voltage (EHV) AC/DC cable systems, in accordance with international testing standards.
This is a field-based role with frequent travel and remote work for reporting and planning.
Key Responsibilities:

Execute commissioning and scheduled maintenance tests on HV & EHV cable systems (AC and DC)

Apply international testing standards including IEC, IEEE, VDE, and other relevant norms

Perform offline & online partial discharge (PD) testing, insulation resistance (IR), tan delta, VLF testing, sheath testing, and more
-
Analyze data from PD and other test methods using advanced analysis tools

Prepare and submit detailed test reports and technical evaluations

Support the implementation of new high-voltage testing and diagnostic technologies

Operate and maintain testing equipment including tools such as Omicron, Megger, BAUR, etc.

Use Line View and similar tools for data collection, monitoring, and diagnostics

Participate in site inspections, HSE compliance checks, and daily technical briefings
Secondary Responsibilities:

Collaborate with test engineers, planners, and client representatives

Follow site safety rules, including permit-to-work and lock-out/tag-out procedures

Travel across project locations throughout Denmark and mainland Europe

Engage in training and knowledge-sharing programs
-
Maintain and calibrate test equipment and tooling
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
-
Electrical Engineering Diploma, Degree, or vocational qualification
-
Solid understanding of HV/EHV electrical systems and cable infrastructure
-
Basic to intermediate knowledge of high-voltage testing techniques

Fluent English (spoken and written); Danish or German is a strong advantage

Valid EU Driver’s License (Class B)

Willingness and ability to travel extensively for on-site testing (up to 70–80%)
