HV Design Project Engineer

Job Description

Duties \n- Carry out reviews of AiP (Agreement in Principle), AoD (Acceptance of Design) & Acceptance of Asset (AoA) project documentation (includes design reports, calculations, drawings, testing and commissioning schedules). \n- Coordinate reviews with key stakeholders within DLR & KAD (Operator & Maintainer) to ensure all designs are reviewed by the asset engineers and KAD power system engineers. \n- Participate in design review & project planning meetings with the DLR planners and D&B contractors.

\n- Timely responses to RFIs and TQs. \n- Carry out design reviews of ITPs, testing and commissioning documentation. \n- Review of RAMS documentation - Risk assessments and Method Statements.

\n- Attend FATs to inspect and witness testing of equipment at the factory. \n- Attend site inspections and SATs to witness and sign off testing documentation. \n- Liaise with Maximo and DLR BIM team to ensure all as-built record information is updated correctly in the system.

\n- Production of Technical Requirement Specifications for new Capital Replacement projects. \n- Review of Projects Requirements Document (PRD) as part of Gate 1 for project handover. \n- Production of scope of works for variations and for small works.

\n- Assist in Invitation to Tender (ITT) documentation preparations. \n- Carry out review and scoring of ITT returns and participate in ITT review meetings \n- Preparation of Change Assurance Forms (CAF) for DCP review. \n- Attend DLR's Change Assurance Panel (CAP) when required to provide technical input on project/design status and issues.

\n- Provide HV & traction input when required to other stakeholders (senior management, H&S, Operations and other engineering disciplines) \n- Carry out reviews of RSRP designs/technical studies and participate in technical meetings to discuss proposals, asset limitations and future scope of works required. \n- Participate in 4 weekly HV & Traction working group meetings providing update on project progress and issues. \n- Participate and input in 3 monthly risk meetings to review & update risks rating to HV & traction
