Job Description
Astute's Renewables Team is exclusively partnering with a leading business in the UK's solar and energy storage market to recruit a HV Commissioning Supervisor. The business design, build and operate renewable energy assets across the UK and are looking to add to the team due to an internal promotion.\n\nThe HV Commissioning Supervisor role comes with a salary up to £65,000 depending on experience, with a company car and excellent benefits. The role will involve a fair amount of travel to the client's sites, up and down the UK.\n\nIf you're looking for the next move in your career and have experience in commissioning solar and BESS systems, please reach out.\n\nResponsibilities and duties of the HV Commissioning Supervisor role \n\nReporting to the Head of Engineering you will:\n\nLead and supervise commissioning duties across utility scale solar and battery storage sites\nPerform High Voltage (HV) operations\nPlay a key role in commissioning phases of projects, liaising with the ICP, DNO and other external personnel\nWorking with the Authorising Engineer, you would look for areas of improvement opportunities across the assets\nSchedule and execute HV switching operations\nMonitor, audit and ensure subcontractor compliance with RAMS, commissioning protocols and inspection and test plans\nBe a major influence in the smooth transition from commissioning to operations of each asset\nEnsure that all works are completed to the best standard and in line with Safe Systems at Work\nTravel around company sites when required\n\nProfessional qualifications \n\nWe are looking for someone with the following:\n\nAt least a level 3 qualification in electrical installation\n2391 test and inspection\nHV AP15 or equivalent is key\nHV switching experience\nCommissioning and supervisory experience in market\n\nPersonal skills \n\nThe HV Commissioning Supervisor role would suit someone who:\n\nEnjoys being on the road visiting sites\nSomeone who wants to develop others\nWants to contribute to the renewable energy industry \n\nSalary and benefits of the Field Service Manager role \n\nSalary up to £65,000 depending on experience\nPrivate health cover\nLife insurance\nCompany electric vehicle\nCompany pension\n33 days holiday inc.
