We are searching for a Human Resources Operations Manager who will be responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and implementation of Mia’s day-to-day operations of human resource programs including (but not limited to); benefits, leaves of absence, occupational health and safety, compliance and HR reporting, compensation, and special projects. The perfect candidate has a passion to create competitive, equitable and inclusive HR programs that contribute to a great company culture, and works to identify new/improved operational efficiencies, minimize employment risks, and deliver an exceptional Employee Experience.
What you will do:
· Design, manage and administer all benefit programs to Mia Employees, including; benefit enrollments, billing, 403(b)and more
· Manage FMLA, MLOA, Work Comp and ADA claims
· Lead, coach and mentor HR Operations Generalist
· Manage the development and design of Mia’s Compensation Program
· Assist with employee relations and union issues
· Manage the Annual Performance Review program
· Monitor and ensure Mia’s compliance with all federal, state and local laws
· Act as a back-up for the Payroll/HRIS Manager
· Act as a trusted partner of the Safety Committee
To be successful in this role, you have…
· 5-7 years of related HR administration experience with advanced knowledge of administering benefits plans including flex plans, COBRA and FMLA
· 3-5 of employee relations experience, preferably in a union environment, or its equivalent through training, education, and other experience
· 3-5 years of experience as a people manager
· Confidentiality: Skille d at handling sensitive information with discretion and integrity
· Attention to Detail: Accuracy in maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance.
· Technical Skills: Proficient in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills with ability to work well with all levels in the organization
· Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative mindset with the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive and supportive work environment
· Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze, interpret and share recommendations based on HR data
· Project Management Skills: Proactive, organized, and able to successfully manage multiple priorities
· Problem Solving Skills: Exercise good judgment in reference to policy interpretation and implementation, and work toward positive resolution of HR-related issues
· Adaptability Skills: Ability to adjust to changing priorities in a dynamic HR environment

· Experience working with union contracts and in a union environment
· SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), and Certified Compensation Professional Credentials
