Our client is seeking a strategic and hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations at a high-growth food manufacturing plant. This is a plant-level role not corporate and requires strong experience in manufacturing environments. Candidates from large food manufacturers with High Performance Organization (HPO) experience (e.g., Tyson, Kraft, General Mills, Mars, Mondelez, Unilever) are highly encouraged to apply.

Relocation: Relocation assistance provided

Location: Candidates must be comfortable working in a rural setting, approximately 30 minutes outside Little Rock.

Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Leadership

Drive high-performance work systems and organizational capability.
Design and implement HR programs aligned with business strategy.
Serve on the site leadership team as a coach, advisor, and confidante to operations leaders.

Core HR Operations

Oversee third-party vendor interactions and ensure service-level targets are met.
Manage hourly recruiting, performance management, employee/labor relations, local talent, in addition to planning and evaluating HR policies, programs, and practices.

Culture & Engagement

Lead community outreach and employee engagement initiatives.
Foster a “great place to work” culture through mentorship and team development.

Qualifications:

Previous management experience, business and operational acumen with a clear understanding of risks and challenges.
Experience working at a manufacturing site and interacting with third-party vendors.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
5+ years of HR functional experience (e.g., employee relations, staffing, compensation, benefits, learning, employee data)
Proven ability to manage complex projects under tight timelines, budget constraints, and organizational dynamics.

Qualifications:

HR Generalist experience.
Labor Relations experience.
PHR or SPHR certification.
Food manufacturing background.
Experience in non-union environments with union avoidance strategies.
Familiarity with High Performance Organization (HPO) work systems.
