HR Compliance Team Leader

Birmingham Centre

Hybrid (2 days a week on site)

Full time & Permanent

Up to £45,000

Our client are global law firm who are looking for a Team Leader to lead their team of 3 HR Compliance Advisors who cover Immigration & Right to Work, GDPR & Law Society Compliance.

Duties including:

• Direct line management of x3 Compliance Advisors
• Manage compliance responsibilities with the Home Office and the Information Commissioner’s Office
• Immigration – being a subject matter expert on UK right to work documentation, visa applications, sponsorship licences
• Law Society Compliance – liaise with law societies to ensure renewals & memberships is completed to ensure compliance within the regulatory framework
• Lead on projects referring to compliance requirements
• Ensure regular audits are completed on all compliance activity
• Ensure that the implications of the Data Protection Act 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation and the Firm's Privacy Policy are considered throughout all processes.

This is a full time permanent position working Monday to Friday 9.30am-5.30pm and offers hybrid working with 2 days a week being based at the centrally located Birmingham offices.

For this position we are looking for experienced Senior HR compliance professionals who have experience working within the Law industry or a similar regulatory sector such as Financial Services. You will have expert knowledge in UK immigration rules including an in depth knowledge of Visas and of The Points Based System, a solid understanding of GDPR and a good understanding of ISO27001 certification and internal auditing. Previous experience of line/team management would be desired but not essential if you have worked in a Senior compliance role previously.
